How Goalkeepers Are Born

“In the optimal youth soccer environment, players are allowed to explore all the various positions on the field. Some will be drawn to the unique role of the goalkeeper. When a young player falls in love with the position and is ready to accept the rigorous physical and mental demands, he’ll train like no other player in soccer does.”

Goalie Glove Care

During the manufacturing process, chemicals are added to the palms of gloves to make sure that they are in perfect condition when you receive them. You should wash your gloves in lukewarm water to remove these chemicals from the palms before using them as the latex will only function best if these chemicals are removed.

After you’ve used them, you should remove your gloves from your bag immediately (or avoid putting them in your bag in the first place), and wash them in lukewarm water. After washing you should allow your gloves to dry naturally in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight and direct heat, so definitely not on a radiator or in an airing cupboard.
